Lance Presents Michael Ulaky With Never Awarded Service Medals
WESTFIELD, N.J. --- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) on Monday presented Mr. Michael Ulaky and his wife Regina with the service medals he earned in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Ulaky never received the honors from the United States military and after assistance from Lance’s constituent casework managers, the Army supplied the awards in time for a special presentation in Westfield.
“Mr. Ulaky earned these awards and I was honored to present them to he and his family,” said Lance. “These medals represent the gratitude and appreciation from the United States of America. I am pleased Mr. Ulaky now has these awards to display with pride and pass on to his family.”
Mr. Ulaky was presented with the National Defense Medal, the Korean Service Medal with 3 bronze stars and the United Service Medal. The Ulakys have lived in Garwood for 62 years where they raised children Mary Ann Rebele and Mike Ulaky.
Lance and his staff are able to assist in obtaining or replacing lost, stolen or never received military commendations. Please contact Congressman Lance’s district office at (908)518-7733 for more information.
