WASHINGTON- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today announced that Kyle Codey, 19, of Summit has completed an internship in his Capitol Hill office.

“Kyle has been a great addition to my Washington office,” said Lance. “He pursues tasks with vigor and he demonstrates a strong interest in government and public service.  Kyle always has a great attitude and I thank him for his service to New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.”

“Working this summer for Congressman Lance was an amazing experience,” said Codey, a rising sophomore at American University.  “I want to thank Congressman Lance and the staff for teaching me so much and letting me be of service to my home district.  I feel I was able to make a difference and I got to witness historic events, such as New Jersey’s transition to a new United States Senator.”

Interns in Lance’s congressional office perform a variety of duties, including preparing briefings and reports for staffers, facilitating and guiding tours of the U.S. Capitol for visiting residents, greeting office visitors, and helping staff with legislative research projects as well as constituent correspondence.  Lance’s office has hosted more than 100 constituent students in the internship program.
