WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Congressman Leonard Lance’s Opioid Review Modernization Act (H.R. 4976) picked up major momentum Wednesday, sailing through the House Energy and Commerce Committee and advancing to the House Floor for consideration.
WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today introduced bipartisan legislation that will help address the rampant opioid and drug abuse epidemic by reforming and improving the medical drug approval and label process within the federal Food and Drug Administration. H.R. 4976, The Opioid Review Modernization Act, will be introduced in the Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee where Lance is a senior member.
WESTFIELD, N.J. --- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) welcomed Lisa Bibbo and her son Michael to his Westfield District Office where the Bibbos presented Lance with a special honor for his championing of the Lymphedema Treatment Act. Lance is an original cosponsor of the bipartisan legislation that seeks to close the Medicare coverage gap for equipment and therapies needed by the nearly six million Americans afflicted with Lymphedema.
WESTFIELD, N.J. --- Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) welcomed Mountainside resident Dora E. Arias to his Westfield District Office to commemorate the Breast Cancer Patient Education Act. Lance and Arias, the Founder & Executive Director of the advocacy group Curémonos, and other New Jersey advocates worked for years to champion the measure as a way to inform breast cancers patients more fully of their health care options at the time of diagnosis.
