  • Speaker Ryan Signs Lance Bill

    Congressman Lance, Vice Chair of the Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade Subcommittee, today joined U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan as he signed off on Lance’s Consumer Review Fairness Act. Lance’s consumer protection legislation passed both the House and U.S. Senate and now heads to President Obama. The legislation will allow Americans to exercise their First Amendment rights regarding consumer experiences without fear of retribution.

    Congressman Lance visited Dover High School this week to talk to the AP U.S. Government students about Congress, the recent election and current events. Lance spoke about his role as a lawmaker, his duties and what to expect from Congress in the new year. Lance also took questions from the students about legislative procedure and how Lance plans to work with a new president and new members of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.

Lance spoke about how tax reform, infrastructure investment and better trade deals could boost job creation. Lance took questions from the group and praised its record of volunteerism and community spirit.
